Limagrain Field Seeds first entered India in 2009, via a JV called Atash, before acquiring the company Bisco in 2012-13. The entity became Limagrain India Private Limited in 2019 and it is based in the city of Hyderabad, in the state of Telangana.

Farmers are always at the centre of our priorities, and we focus on delivering LG branded genetics that can make Indian farmers more profitable with higher yielding varieties.
Maize is our main crop in India, with an important research effort. We also have sales and research for Hybrid Rice, Pearl Millet, and a specific Malting Barley program. The product range is completed by sales of Mustard and Sunflower seeds.

Limagrain Field Seeds India is constantly improving its reach to farmers through more than 1000 distributors who in turn reach more than 5000 retailers. A huge effort is made every year with organized events, such as demonstrations and field days, which has allowed Limagrain Field Seeds India to be directly in touch with more than 500,000 farmers in the last year.
